“Julianna Menna is a professional painter working in the Philadelphia area. She was trained as a designer at the Russian State Academy of Art and Design in St. Petersburg, Russia. Over the years, her work has progressed along a variety of paths, most recently including a series of skull-like creatures mixed with various imaginary period costumes and locales. Most of her technique is self-taught as she has moved on to work in a variety of new media during the intervening years including oils, acrylics and watercolor. Julianna likes to make surrealistic and fantastic imagery that alludes to a broader narrative context.” – Grumbacher
